RAILROADING

RAILROADING
The story of railroading is one of adventure, courage, and engineering genius. Pioneers, strugling against incredible hardships, have covered the United States with a vast web of steel rails. Into the building of railroads has gone all the skill and science that man has acquired during centuries of progress.

To speed the advance of the iron horse, men have built amazing bridges of many kinds, have bored tunnels miles long through towering rocky walls, have employed all their knowledge of metallurgy, mechanical and electrical engineering, and have used innumerable inventions.
