Switch off Soft Drinks. The average American consumes 50 calorie-laden gallons of soda every year. Instead of a 12 -ounce can of soda, containing 160 calories from 10 teaspoons of sugar, try switching to regular or flavored seltzer or a diet drink. Or try herbal teas.
