Eat Slowly

It takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to single your brain that it's full. "If you're shoveling food into your mouth as fast as you can," says Gustafson, "you will eat beyond the point of satiety and fill up with food you don't even need."

Chew every bite of food thoroughly before you swallow. Put your fork down between bites.
