| Baby Weight |
The Placenta at Term weighs about one-sixth of the weight of the baby. It consists of chorionic villi, decidua of the uterus in which it is embedded and the chorio-decidual space containing maternal blood. Bunches of chorionic villi form lobules or placental cotyledons.
